Heavy rain created difficult playing conditions today at Highfields as FC Bosnia managed to squeeze past Dewsbury Westside on penalties and as always between the two clubs the game was very passionate.
Bosnia, who had a number of fist team players missing looked lightweight up front and wasted many chances to kill the game off, and the first half ended goal less.
The breakthrough for Bosnia came in the 65th minute when the stand-in keeper Seval Omerbegovic kicked the ball long and saw it bounce over the helpless Westside keeper. The fans celebrated the historic moment of their keeper scoring, however their celebrations were shot lived as straight from the kick off Westside won themselves a free kick just outside the box. Struck with plenty of power the Bosnian keeper stood no chance and the scores were level.
The sides continued to battle and at the final whistle the score remained 1 - 1 which meant extra time. Extra time saw many more chances wasted by both teams as the inevitable penalties loomed.
Bosnia managed to progress in the cup thanks to the Keeper Seval Omerbegovic who saved two penalties and the score ended 8 - 7 after the penalties.
